I am looking for this radio faceplate if anyone has one let me know.The one I have has a story behind it and is bent or warped from heat.I found a picture of a good one so here it is and if you have one give me a price thanks.

Lol woops guess I forgot some info.The car is my 83 malibu wagon.But they had a olds version of the same car.I will take a picture of the one I have it is still usable but it is a bit messed up.

 

You jumped back in too soon. It could have been fun, trying to guess the year and the model.

We have a couple from our 80 Cutlass stash. I'm not sure they mount the same though.

I took a quick look at the site and most likly will have to reg like on here to access alot of the site.I forgot to take pictures of a few things I ment to.I will take a picture of the faceplate during the day so we can compare.

 

The picture of the faceplate I first posted is incorrect.This is the correct one I found this picture and it is just like the one I have but the one in this picture is in better shape.

I will still post a picture of mine so you can see why I am after a different one.

 

Here is my radio faceplate it does not look bad.But it has stress cracks and the cigrette lighter got hot and started to melt the plastic housing.The story behind that was before the car was mine a stereo was improperly istalled and wires were tampered with and somhow the lighter kicked on or got stuck overheating almost starting a fire.So now the lighter slot is warped and bent.





Just for kicks with this post I have 455 as in 455 v8 olds lol

 

Do they look like the one I posted pictures of.I could use this one I guess it is not all that bad and they are not the easiest to come by.The nearby junkyard has lots of these era cars but all the radio faceplates are gone.

 

the holes are in the same place, but they don't look exactly alike. Also, they don't have screw holes for mounting, they pop in.
