Need a power brake booster for my 65 Jetstar 88 convertible. Must be for a 65-66 full size manual transmission car! Automatic boosters will not clear the clutch rod! Mine can not be rebuilt. It got moisture in it and rusted through at the bottom. Thanks in advance!

 

That will be a hard find... Can you use your old mounting brackets ? I think the boosters are the same, just the Brackets are different...

 

Is the rustout on the front or rear housing? The parts book shows that for the Morraine booster, the front housing is the same on all 1964-66 full size cars. The rear housing is unique to the 65-66 MT cars. P/N for that rear housing is 5467082.

And yes, the difference is the mounting brackets that are spot welded to the rear housing (and of course the pushrod to the brake pedal because of the different brackets).
