Need parts to complete sport wheel mounting...
I just bought a used sport steering wheel, and I need the horn button, contact/mount and the hub that sits between it and the steering column.
I know they are available new repro, but damn it would cost me more than I paid for the wheel!

The horn contact kit is cheap 23.50

If you're not in a big hurry, set up a watch list and keep an eye peeled.

I actually have a few of the parts in my watch list already on eBay. They seem to jump up to almost what repros cost on the last day though. The two you listed below I didn't find on US eBay - but I never thought to look at eBay Canada. I got really lucky with the wheel - I have been watching eBay and bidding on wheels and parts for almost a year now. I was trying not to spend a huge amount of money - or I just would have bought a whole new Repro kit with everything. I was bidding the opening bid at least on most of the wheels that came up, and low and behold - I won an auction for $50 for one that is actually in pretty decent shape. No one else bid on it!
Thanks for the response and info I do appreciate it.

Really? How much did you pay for the wheel?

[QUOTE=OldsManNJ;421895]I got really lucky with the wheel - I have been watching eBay and bidding on wheels and parts for almost a year now./QUOTE] Trust me, I know how that works. Took me over 3 years to get some NOS Cruise parts.
One tactic you can use is 'snipe' bidding to try and get the best deal. Don't enter your bid till within 15 seconds of the end of auction. You may or may not win, but it doesn't give anyone advance notice that you're interested, nor does it give them time to react to your bid.

I "snipe" bids all the time on eBay. I used to not even "watch" the item, but I do now because I forget that I'm planing to spine it. Once I hit it with 55 seconds left, I was top bidder for 20 seconds, then dude hit it back with 35 seconds left, I hit it again became high bidder, he hit it back and became high bidder with 10 seconds left, but bid too high. I hit it with 5 seconds left, didn't get it, hit it right before auction close, didn't get it and lost it
