Misc. cruise parts needed for 72 Cutlass or 88 or 98

Okay, so now I am down to the last several missing parts I need for my cruise setup...

They are in the below picture, circled in green.
They can be had off of a Cutlass, 88, or 98, possibly from 70-72. (Toro parts are different and will not interchange.)

1 - Servo bracket. This is a simple stamped steel bracket that one classic car yard wanted 45 bucks for.
2 - Spring C-Clip for speedo cables (a little detail part). Not the cables themselves, just the clip that goes over them both.
3 - Intake manifold vacuum fitting; 2 port style (not pictured here.) This is the fitting that screws into the intake and the vacuum hoses connect to.

If anyone has these parts on parts cars or in their junk bins and do not need them, please let me know what and for how much.

ALSO, can anyone confirm if the colors for each of the underhood parts circled in red are factory correct? I need to plate or paint several pieces like the regulator and its bracket and the servo linkage. Want to get it right though.

Thanks!!

Regardless of the age of the post, I still need these parts and i will update it each time as neccessary.

Thanks!

I've got you covered on the servo. Not sure if I have the cables.

More trinkets for the Lady

Rob
Is this the vacuum fitting your lookin' for? Didn't realize you needed it or I would've send it with the "T". Also, I know this doesn't have to do with this thread, but if you are still looking for paint to match the dark saddle interior try this...PPG, Duracryl. This is the number on the tag -
DURACRYL (DIA) 23453 PRIME
OEM Code: WOA4098
GM (N AMERICA) DK SADDLE, DK SADDLE
(LG)

I bought this quart at a local auto paint shop. They put it into 4 aerosol cans. Total cost was roughly $65.00. This paint is only for hard plastic and metal surfaces and works great! Matched perfect with my DS interior pieces. Anyway, let me know if the fitting is the one you need. PS, begging forgiveness from the thread gods for going off on a tangent. I need the parts circled in green...

The dashpot circled in red looks much nicer than mine; so I can use it, too; I did not mention it in the last PM.

A PM awaits you with the details.
Thanks!!!

I had one of those fittings that I just found too. I used the PPG DDL paint on all the metal inside the car and it is a perfect match, wagons got a lot of it too. The gloss is a little low for some areas but it's lacquer so you can buff it to whatever degree of shine you want. I did the shiny hard plastic parts then cleared them and they look just like the originals.

Will the linkage for the two barrel adapt easily to the 4 barrel? I want to put a 4 barrel on mine and wondering if I need any parts now. Does the rod to the carb just have to be shortened? I know the accelerator cable is different, bracket too? Fuel line?
I finally picked up a tilt column and just have to paint it and get that cruise wire through and install it.
Now all I want to put in the interior is an eight track player and the Swedish Bikini Team.

Gery,
I got it yesterday; perfect... Thanks!! Hope you got the check by now...

Allan,
The linkage rods have lots of adjustment in them; you might see if you can use your original. The 4bbl is 1" shorter than the 2bbl.
You may be able to just cut yours down...
I have a rod now that can be used as either a 2 or 4 bbl with room for adjustment either way; I still do not know what it is really supposed to be... The color coding seems to be missing, too.

I thought the brackets were the same and you just use different holes or something... I would have to consult the manuals to be sure.

I know the 8-track will be easier to get "my hands on", but I would much prefer the Swedish Bikini Team... No need for additional entertainment then!

Thanks Rob, I just can't seem to find where I have the info but I'm sure the linkages are the same except for that rod too.
If I could get my hands on a Swedish Bikini Team member I'd be a real lucky guy, if my wife found out I touched one I'd be lucky if I survived.
As the signs say on the cars at shows, "Look, Don't Touch".

Just one of the many advantages of being unmarried...

I saw a sign at a show once that said:
"Look, Don't Touch.
You wouldn't want ME to fondle YOUR wife or girlfriend, would you?"

Thanks to J-Chicago, I got the servo bracket and a good usable servo as a bonus - many thanks to him. He is another wonderful member to do business with!

I have all of the required parts now, I just need to get them restored and installed.

The only part I can use now is a spare vacuum release valve that goes on the brake light switch bracket. It is a black cylinder with a 3/8" vacuum hose fitting on one end and threads on the other end with a white plunger button at the tip.
If you have a spare laying around, just holler at me.

Thanks to all who helped me in this scavenger hunt!!

The hunt is over, no more fun. Now you have to find something else, tilt column? I got one for the Vista and it's sitting in about a hundred pieces right now, hope I can figure out how to put it back together.

I have a leaky valve if you want it. I luckily had another in the parts that came with the car that was good. It looks okay but won't hold any vacuum with the Mityvac. That little rubber o-ring type deal with the chamfer on top looks okay but is leaking somehow no matter how far you push it in, probably shrunk with age.
They made a lot of those valves and you would think they would be around but no dice. The part number is 6465213 and I'd like a spare too but can't find them anywhere new or used.
I did notice that 89-93 furd rustangs and maybe other furds use a vac dump valve that looks similar, can't find those to check either. Good to keep in mind at boneyards to see if it is the same. I keep checking evibay to see if any furd cruise set-ups are on to see.
I would hate to ask to see a pic or post a parts wanted on a furd forum but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
