Looking for Rocker Chrome trim for 81-88 Cutlass

Needs to be in good shape, and I'd rather buy a complete set than try to piece one together.

Thanks!

Just a suggestion .....

I'd make sure you already have and/or can track down all of the needed trim clips to install it.

Tracking down the trim itself from someone that prefers the car not have it and/or is parting one out is probably gonna be the easier part.

Many clips don't age well & break when you go to remove the trim.

Glad to see it going back on .....

Tho' I know many don't like it because it can lead to rust issues.

I'm only really into the without look on a H/O or 442.
(the different lower colors help the look there IMHO)

Off topic but speaking of chrome ...

I've always wondered what a 79-85 Toro would look like if it had the front fender & rear quarter pieces from a 79-85 Eldo.
(power of suggestion &/or possible hint)

Just sent an e-mail on a set I saw for sale. I happen to love the trim look. I had to replace one piece recently when the old clips failed, I had good luck using 3M trim tape, it seems to hold just as well as the clips, but a little more permanently. I put a couple spacers in the middle of the piece with trim tape on both sides of the spacers, holding to the trim on one side and the body on the other. You just have to make sure the spacers are the right thickness. Good luck!

Right, I'm going with the 3M tape as well. I've had very good luck with that stuff in the past holding solid for years. So I'm not too worried about the clips at this point.

Thanks for the e-mail, Mike. I'll keep that option open, but sounds like he's missing some pieces anyway.

I'm not in a huge hurry, so I can hold out for a while. But if somebody is getting rid of it on their car like ThePackRat said, your trash is my treasure. =)
