I am in need of a late flywheel. I have been looking for a month or so. I have found 1 but it's $500. I don't want an aftermarket. Looking for original. I have an early that has been cut that I would consider a trade for same condition. It was lightly sand blasted to remove the flash rust.
Are you sure that's an early one? Does it bolt up to the early 400, 425 or 330 crankshaft? If the holes won't line up on your crank did you try rotating the flywheel? I believe it will only go on one way, so you have to rotate the flywheel and try each hole to see if it lines up on your crankshaft.
I have a new Old Stock 350/455 flywheel in the factory box. $250 plus shipping from 75154, Probably close to $40 to ship. PM me if interested. I do not Pay Pal. Postal MO only.

yes I am sure it is an early. After I spent over an hour spinning it and trying every hole the best I could do was to get 4 bolts in. The. I decided to measure the hole spacing against a flexplate I had for the 455. Spacing of holes measure differently. I know that the early early look different and the late early and the late look the same.
SHIPPING INFO! UPS has a program for the consumer they call "simple rate". Price is determined solely by the cubic inch size of the package, long as it is not over 50 pounds. Currently a medium size package, 251 to 650 cubic inch ships for $19.25; a large size package, 651 to 1050 cubic inch ships for $26.00. I shipped a HAYS 40 pound Olds flywheel a couple years ago, medium size package, for less than $20.00, USPS would have cost $70.00. I believe this is only an online option. I have used it three times thus far for heavy objects. Just build your package, follow the instructions online and drop it at a UPS pick up location or UPS store.
Gee whiz, I wish you had said something earlier. I lost mine late last year, and he's been buried. I supposed I could have him exhumed, but that seems disrespectful.
