Keeper wire for lifter
Keeper wire for lifter
I have a dire need for a keeper wire for a lifter in a 67 400 olds.
Found a dead cylinder, 122,00 on odometer, took it apart and found a broken ring on #5 cyl. and a missing keeper on a lifter.
Have found no wear and tear on any parts I have looked at so far!
Howsomever, I am replacing wp, op, timing/ch, heads worked over, ex/mfd trued, 2.5 thrush exhaust, rebuilt 2gvc carb, unless somebody donates me a cam, lifters, 4bbl carb and manifold, I will have a nice matching # 67 turnpike cruiser.
As an aside, what is best to use to get the outside of the engine clean?( elbowgrease, gasoline, wire brush, solvent does some)?
If I can get it clean, haven't found olds gold yet, where can I get it?
Thanks, Bruce
