Hood latch assembly
I need the hood latch assembly for a 69 cutlass supreme. I need the whole assembly, the latch and the vertical sheetmetal it's attached to that is hidden behind the upper part of the bumper and the nose of the hood when it's shut. The one in there is bent up from being towed or bumped. The front bumper for same car would help. If I can, later I'll get some pics of what I need, I don't know the proper part name.

This site has some really good go to guys for parts. One of them you might want to pm is 2blu442 (John) in Medford Oregon. It seems that he is always discovering another car to bring home. Wish I could help you more. Sorry to hear about the damage, does it keep you from opening the hood right now?
BTW, in case you're interested there are more aftermarket parts being offered now than ever before for 68-72 Cutlass models.
From what I can see on my parts manual, it looks like the actual latch inside the hood is the same from 69-72.
The T handle and connecting rods might be the same for 69/70 models All these parts are located in section 8.080 of the GM parts manual. If you can't get something from one of the guys here, best suggestion is to set up a search on the web and scan it daily. There are tons of parts out there waiting to be re-used.

I have the T-Handle coming in the mail. The hood does open and shut, but when closed the upper part of the bumper is bent up and out over the part of the hood that would normally be resting on the top of the bumper. The vertical sheetmetal the latch mechanics are all attatched to(and has the hole in the top for the rubber hood pin to enter and lock) is all bent up. The car looks like it has a wicked overbite. I don't have any of the GM manuals yet, only my giant Chilton '64-'71 hardback book. I haven't been able to find out the actual name of the part I need. Is the sheetmetal a hood latch "mount" maybe?
