gas tank sending unit

Hello out there; would anybody know where I can purchase an original gas tank sending unit for a 1965 Oldsmobile dynamic 88 convertible or a good used one. Mine just went belly up and its hard to find an original. or a nice used one would be nice. Guess can,t complain after 48 of good service. Thanks; allistar;

Thank you for responding and what are you asking for the product and how do we arrange shipping. I can send you a pic of exactly what it looks like. I had previously found one but it was from a 1965 98 olds and was different style or they ship me one from another type of olds and would not fit. I,m sure the delta and dynamic are the same. My email address is hermandolison@yahoo.com and I can send a pic of exactly what it looks like or you can semd me a pic. Thanks; Herman

This might be some good information on sending units I was having problems with my gas gauge in my 65 olds. Dynamic 88. The gauge would fluctuate between full and empty while driving and finally stuck at quarter tank and would not move even when I filled the tank. After removing and replacing the dash gauge and no results, dropped the tank and removed the sending unit. U tube has excellent resources on how to troubleshoot faulty sending units. It was a 90 ohm resistor unit and using a multimeter was getting o ohms when moving the float arm up and down. Took it apart and found that the arm that contacted the resistor had a round contact point that was coved with a black substance which permitted it from making contact on the resistor indicating false readings. Like pitted contact points. Cleaned the contact point with very fine sandpaper, reassemble the unit, checked with a multimeter and worked perfectly! hopes this information might help others.
