fuel tank sending unit
These are likely not reproduced, but that doesn't mean something that is made to fit a later model or another GM make of a similar year wouldn't work.
I needed a sending unit for my '67 Delta 88, and they're no longer made. But I found that one that fits a '72 Buick Le Sabre, while a different design, is a drop-in replacement. The Buick units are made new, and I got one for about $70 from Rockauto.
What you're likely to have to do is make some measurements of yours, including size of the opening it fits into and length, and then see if you can find one that fits. Since Chevy parts are much more commonly reproduced, you may find that one that fits an early '60s full-size Chevy would work.
All these units operate on the same electrical principle of the sending unit being nothing more than a 90-ohm resistor, so you should not have a problem electrically if you can find one, at least from another GM make, that fits.
