Fabricated rear end for 1979 A body

I'm looking for a stout rear axle assembly for a 1979 A body. Maybe someone has a 12 bolt, 9" ford that has been fabricated for the A,G body cars they are willing to part with.
Pricing out on-line at vendors like Currie, Strange, Quick Performance, local shops is approximately 2500-3500 depending on options.

Thanks!

Scour your local salvage yards,C/L,FB for any ‘84-87 442’s, ‘84-‘87 T-Types or GN’s for an 8.5” rear. It’s the cheapest option for building something that will withstand substantial torque. Otherwise you can opt to plunk the money down for a custom 9 from the usual fabrication specialists. You can still find 8.5” units from individuals for less than custom built, but beware of axle galling. It will cost additional in replacement axles.

yeah, as of now my best option from a Sportcoupe66 member here I have found is a custom 9" from Quick Performance. It's $3000 by the time you get it in with brakes and all. I'm hoping for a 9" maybe someone already has by chance. It's possibly a long shot. the gear ratio is 4.30 or 4.33 I need for this car. The 9" would make changing gear ratios easier just buying a couple of center sections based on use.(One for the track and one for the street). The motor is a 12:1 425 BBO so the little 7.5 is just going on the shelf if I ever go back to stock.
