Equalizer Shaft 68 Cutlass Jetaway Column Shift

I think that this is the last part that I need to complete my Cutlass.

I am looking for an "equalizer shaft" for a 1968 Cutlass Jetaway with a column shift. I attached a picture from the Service Manual.

I don't know if equalizer shafts from previous years, or TH400 transmissions with column shifts will work. I do know that full size Olds equalizer shafts do not work (I have one of those). Perhaps a resident expert can chime in on compatibility.

As always, thanks for the help!

OK, so that's it.
I have a few, weather or not they
are the right one will be debatable.

Anyway to get a measurement on
such an animal? I will have to check
and see if the 67 parts car still has
it's unit underneath. It is a 330 w/jetaway
trans and column shift. Do you think that one
is the same as what you need?

TruBlu442,
I am not that familiar with the frames on '67 vs. '68. Are they the same? The location of the shift lever on the transmission will be the same so long as it is a Jetaway. There may be a difference between the linkage from the column to the "equalizer shaft".

The geometry of the tab on the "equalizer shaft" to where the "shift rod" bolts is important also. Does the Pontiac or Buick equivalent of the ST300 "equalizer shaft" interchange with an Oldsmobile? I don't know. I am hoping that an expert will lead me in the right direction.

I have one from a later model full size Olds, and it is way too long.

If you can get some measurements, and post along with some pictures, I would appreciate it.
