eng wanted '70 455 ...

I am expecting some cash but it will be a while till I get it ...

My original engine is making noise and might have to go through it ...

Since I like hitting the drag strip it might be advisable for me to run a different engine ...

I figure about $1500 is my budget ...

I'll be running a stock 2 1/2 " exhaust with a cossover behind the trans ...

I'm in Los Angeles but will pick up in ca, ore wash etc...

Cool! So you know where I'm at. Last weekend I talked with a guy who lives up in Trail. We're talking boonies and he had a collection of over 120 old cars. Someone from the county was inspecting work his neighbor was doing and spotted the collection. Down came the hammer! He said county ordinance limited his collection to 10 cars and all must be registered in his name. So treasure is going to the crusher and he's down to 65 cars. No Oldsmobiles but I'm still offended that the county can impose this on him. You couldn't see his cars from the highway, and I believe only one neighbor could see the cars. Still lots of good old iron in the valley but with this kind of policy it will be changing soon.

If you come up this way I have several engines to consider, but it probably would cost a bundle to ship one. John

he should call his "collection" a "museum" and get stays on seperating them ...

any documentation of ownership by a local talent/politician/ coach might help...

I can pick-up an engine in medford ...

What do you have, also what do you need...

clean tin etc...

Are you looking for a runner or rebuilder? I've got several 425's and 455's available. Send me a pm with your email address and I'll send you a list of engines. John

did you get the e-mail ...

I have a turbo set-up off a 351m400 ford that I might be able to fit on a 455, do you have anything that could handle moderate boost levels ..?

I have a 72 455 out of a toronado. 89,000 miles original. I'd like $800. I have a 69 455 in a toronado. I'd like around $1000. I have another non running 69 455 that had the intake removed so I don't know if it ran, would like $500. I am in salt lake city, utah. I would consider delivering it for a fee.

Let me know.
