There are a Few on eBay under $400. Beware of this one. Not sure what kind of professional is doing his thread repair but might have to drill out the thermostat housing hole to line the new bolt hole up.

yeah saw that one. also rear water inlet in multiple pics looks cracked. I asked him about it and up pops a picture that shows no crack! Miracle.
I think there is just too much wrong for $285 +

Yeah. I k ow what you mean. And the crack. So, it appears to be a small thread of Teflon tape. I say that because it’s in one location in one photo and faces the rear in another photo. Zoom in. If we’re looking at the same thing, it’s tape. But I agree. I purposefully remove all pipe plugs and chase all the threads In any intake I sell so no one is asking questions like these. Sure, it’s been sandblasted but I still gotta fiddle around with god knows what just to remove all the fittings.

I seriously don't think the heli-coil will ever seal right. I got a thermostat housing out of my stash and not sure if I cocked it that much it would still seal on the gasket. I swear that water jacket inlet looks cracked to me. The seller said it was casting flash where I was looking. If it were on here I wouldn't hesitate but ebay, no returns and potential problems I think I will pay the extra $100 for an intake without potential issues.

A Heli-Coil is not able to seal anything, including hot coolant. Its to replace stripped threads, nothing more. You might get lucky if you used RTV and inserted the heli-coil and then applied RTV to the threads of what you install.......if its a vacuum situation.
