Edelbrock 04B Spreadbore Intake

Looking for an Edelbrock 04B spreadbore intake. I have an Edelbrock Performer with a 750 Demon now that is too tall for my OAI parts and I want to go back to a Quadrajet. The Performer and Demon will be for sale or even trade if someone has what I need.

Maybe they want to keep what they have.

It was kind of a rhetorical question. I searched previous posts looking for an aluminum intake that would work with the OAI and there seemed to be a bunch that popped up for sale not too long ago. Now I can't find one but thought maybe someone could offer some advice on alternative search methods or sites.

That would be absolutely perfect but unfortunately a bit out of my budget right now. Unless I sold what's on my car now to offset the cost. I was hoping to have a replacement before I tear the car apart.

Understood. Unfortunately doesn't look like they are getting any cheaper.

Holy crap!😯 I think I'll put the stock cast iron back on and sell the Performer, Demon and MSD stuff and get back to you if you still have it.

An 04B is not the same intake as the "W" intake. Do not recall any 04B intakes that were reproduced.

Try looking at facebook marketplace or search tempest for national craigslist. I was looking for one last spring and found it on facebook.

The w30 intake on ebay has two poor reviews, one review details problems w pics of the thin uneven flange. For the $ you think it would be better.

if it were me i would drill n tap your performer for the spreadbore mount, grind off the logo and paint it. You can run the OAI w it just need need to change the base there are a few threads on here detailing different setups.

the 04b iirc only offers weight savings (25lbs) VS the stock intake

(i assume the performer like the 04b. Has 3 styles but is the same intake squarebore, spreadbore or both.)

ebay w30 intake pic of flange wtf

That doesn't look very good at all. I'm wanting to go with a more original look and the parts I have don't fit the bill. Not to mention I don't really want to start modifying stuff, I'd rather just sell it and let someone else use it.

I was trying to get the Alt. bracket to come down but a 66-72 bracket will work. I didn't finish cutting down the bolt hole in intake. I'm thinking of going to a open ail gap intake. I saw two different intakes one must be China and Edelbrock ?
