Looking for a door latch (part that bolts to the DOOR) for 1980 - 1985 Delta 88 or Olds ninety-eight 4-door. This would be for the drivers side rear door. For some reason, mine will no longer latch closed.....I'm guessing a broken spring. This part may be the same back to 1978 and might be the same for all "B" body cars. are you sure the linkage isn't stuck in the open position? even though the handle returns the latch can be stuck open.

 

That was the first thing I checked. No dice. The latch moves freely.
