Desperately seeking "404847" water pump casting

Hi, I am looking for a water pump for a 1970 442 with heavy duty cooling and A/C.

The water pump has "404847" casted into the front side of the pump and will have a 2.0" inlet nipple.

Any leads will be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Check with Greg Rollin at Supercars Unlimited. He sometimes has some extra water pump cores around. See the web site at www.supercarsunlimited.com for the phone number. Good luck!

I have two water pumps from my 350 & 455. I'll check to see what the casting numbers are.

Randy, I did not talk with Greg personally, but I did call Supercars Unlimited and they stated that they did not have one at this time, but if I would of bought one of their engine kits I would have a better chance of them finding one for me.

I've got a box of water pumps, I'll try to check the numbers to see if I've got an extra one. John

Go to a local, cooperative NAPA and a Carquest. Some of their rebuilt pumps could have the casting number you want.

Great idea!!!

We do not have any Carquest around here, but we do have NAPAs.

The problem I ran into with the NAPAs is they don't keep stock of these pumps in their stores. They will only order you one pump at a time from their warehouse. I have tried to specify casting number with them, but it hasn't worked out very well.
