dash fascia '77-84 full sized Olds

I'm looking for the wood grained dash fascia for my '81 Olds 98. I believe any of the Olds 88 and 98 from 1977 through 1984 will work. This is the center section housing the radio and climate controls. I would prefer one WITHOUT the hole for the rear defogger, but may consider if I have no other options. Obviously, I'd prefer one in very good to excellent shape.

Good examples, crazybout.

There are 2 different types. 1 with a gold band, and one with a black band.

Black band is 77-80 and gold is 80-85

J, Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Can you see if that CAA sticker can be removed without damage? Possibly try a hair dryer, as I've found that any sort of cleaner, even soap and water can damage these old surfaces.
I took a chunk of woodgrain off of mine when my wife used hand sanitizer to stick a suction cup for my GPS on my dash.

Thanks

Kerry

Dash 77 - 84 full size

My experience is that the gold band is from the 98's and the black band is 88's. Not sure about Deta Royal dash. Regards, Trent

The counter-sunk "band" was 1977-1979.

The lighter wood grained "pin-stripe" was found on all 1980 & after.

1980-1984 Ninety Eight
1980-1985 Delta 88
1980-1987 Custom Cruiser ***

*** The 1987-1990 CC had the lighter woodgrain with the bigger radio cavity.

There is super low-mileage black 77 Ninety Eight on eBay at the moment that looks as if someone tried to paint the counter-sunk band on the center piece silver.
