Dash bracket

Does anyone out there have one of these brackets that goes between the radio, clock and lighter? Somehow during disassembly at three different locations, I lost this piece.

Thanks,
Ken

That looks like a 1968-69, right? I may have it but will need to dig around, probably this weekend. John

Sorry for not including that, but yes, it is a 69. Thanks!

Well, I got impatient and decided I could get a piece of sheet metal from Lowe's and make this thing myself. My body man had offered, but I told my wife I could save some money by doing it myself. While I was on the deck snipping the form, my yellow lab helps herself to the first piece of sheetmetal to hit the deck. So, after a $1300 trip to the emergency vet clinic for surgery, my wife asks "Did you save any money?"

Dash Bracket

Yeowch! Just the idea of her swallowing somthing like that makes my skin crawl. The one I had in mind has become a problem. I need to pull the ignition switch off to remove it, and so far I have only suceeded in chewing up the retaining ring! If you have the time and don't mind the extra shipping costs I could send you the whole plastic dash assembly and you could work at taking it apart. If you want to send me your address I could give you an idea on the shipping costs. It's light so if the package size isn't too large it may be reasonable. John

I have one already off the dash. It's actually a ground strap for the gauges. I could drop it in an envelope for $10.00. Thanks, Bob.

I have had a few labs, the love to eat anything, especially when they are young. Hope she is now fine.

Well, I did manage to reconstruct this bracket, but thanks for the offers. The dog is fine now, just a little sore. The vets were amazed that the sheet metal didn't tear her esophagus going down. In a couple of weeks, I'm sure she will be back to eating anything and everything.

Not to get [or stay] off the bracket subject, but I'm a Lab lover from way back. Had one one time that decided to eat the railing of the deck, so I started pouring Tabasco Sauce on the railings hoping to stop him. He got to where he preferred pressure treated lumber with Tobasco better than Alpo
