Cruise handle wanted
The 1971 - 76 is the same. The earlier ones supposedly are not but..... The best one I found for my car was off a 88 so either the person selling it didn't know or they are the same. I have never confirmed the earlier ones. I plan on being in Lansing this weekend so I will check there.
I believe the 66-70 ones are all Chrome with grooves in them (at least mine on my 67 is) and I think the 71-76 have a black plastic tip on them. Thanks in advance for checking in Lansing.
FWIW, the Parts Manual shows FIVE different levers from '65 to '75, and doesn't list any earlier than '69 (maybe they forgot...):
412341 —*'69 to '75 with no Tilt / Tele
412342 — '69 to '70 with Tilt / Tele, and then '74 to '75 fullsize with Tilt / Tele
408847 —*'71 to '73 98 and Toro with Tilt / Tele
412606 —*'73 to '75 AJ29 with Y78 appearance package and '75 XC
416755 — '74 to '75 fullsize with head restraint package (option AR3)
So it looks like, aside from some weirdness in the mid-seventies, possibly involving that optional signal lever wiper switch, you had one type with the regular or tilt columns, and a different one for the tilt / tele columns, but they all seem to be the same across the model range in the earlier cars.
