I have a 1969 Cutlass S. I have the original SA coded rear end. Single traction with 2.78 gears. Need some extra boost at the wheels. I'm located in SC and will travel if need be. Hopefully someone will point me in the right direction! Looked in the Parts For Sale section and didn't see anything I was looking for.

I have a completely restored "TO" code rear, factory 31 spline axles, factory 3.91 gears, rebuilt factory posi, Repro W27 cover, new bearings and seals, undamaged axles, new shoes, wheel cyls, hardware, springs kit, adjusters and new bendix drums. More details would help, i.e. range of gear ratios you'd be interested in? Care about originality?

 

I have a complete, drum to drum, 4.10:1 Olds, type "O" posi rear end (12-bolt cover, 10-bolt ring gear). I removed it to install a more highway friendly gear. I did remove the cover and it has a non-original posi carrier. Gear is obviously aftermarket. I have not gotten to checking any further. If interested, email me direct: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Io have mentioned on another thread. Monzaz is the man to talk to. Don't know if he is still building rears but he made a drum to drum posi rear for my Cutlass some years ago and it is outstanding. Top notch. He sent me "progress" pics too as he was building it. Nice guy. As I said, don't know if he still does it but worth a check.
