Chrome ssII Wheels

I know how rare and pricey these may be, but I'm looking for chrome 15x7 chrome ssii wheels that came on the 69 H/O cars. I would even buy aftermarket, I see yearone has some but look all chrome and they're 17". I saw some on eBay from circle racing but can't seem to find them now. I hear Stockton makes a 58 series wheel, is this the closest I will find? I'd like a staggered set 15x7, 15x8 if I go this route. Any help is appreciated. I was just going to keep the wheels I have on it with the trim rings, but the all chrome has a hold on me. Thanks

No one is currently making them. Originals are about as pricey as D heads.

The only thing close right now is a billet aluminum wheel and its all "chrome" looking, not like the 69 H/O wheel

There was a real nice set on eBay a few weeks back for $1800 if I remember correctly. I realize that doesn't help you now but might give you an idea of what you can expect to pay. Good luck!

Is McWheels still run by a guy named Curt McKim in Slater, Iowa? Is it even still a valid business? If so, he'll take your money, but will you get your wheels?

Tread lightly if you want someone to build you wheels or just give them money for nothing. Do what you want, but you've been warned. I've read some bad reviews in the past. I don't care if I had to go elsewhere by 1000 miles, I sure wouldn't go to him.

A 2013 McWheel's sob story here, followed by a 2014 story that's eerily similar:

McWheels Update | V8buick.com

McWheels - Slater Iowa - ClassicOldsmobile.com

And here he is "defending" his suck-*** business model way back in 2011 (he posts about mid-page) Awww, life is so hard! Waaah! I have to take your money and keep it while you get nothing. Sounds familiar.

McWheels? | Page 2 | V8buick.com

Meh, guy's had a sketchy past, and now he's about 70 years old, so he's just going to get worse. Older people don't have that sense of urgency in business any longer. Speaking of, I don't even think he has an active business license anymore.

Scott, thanks again for the heads up. I was able to work out a deal for the wheels. A little more than I wanted to spend, but they're really nice date coded wheels in excellent condition.

Stockton wheel will still make them new for you in 15x7 or 15x8 for about $400 apiece.

I wish you guys would have stepped up a little sooner, I could have saved a couple of grand, lol. That's cool these are really nice originals, and I can always re-coup if I had to.
