The bucket seat frames are the same 61-65 all B and C body GM cars, so a set from an Impala SS will probably be easiest to find. Grand Prix/Catalina and Starfire are also reasonably common. Put your desired upholstery pattern on them.

Console. You want full length with floor shift or the shorty like some Buick Wildcat and Impala SS used? Full length a 61-63 Starfire will work best and if you want the floor shift get it and all the linkage. 62-64 Catalina can also be used as it will accommodate Slim Jim and doesn't have the Grand Prix dash to console filler panel. Impala/Wildcat shifters won't work with the Slim Jim.

awesome thank you for all the information. I think I want a short one. Not really for the shifter. Thinking about doing something custom. I would love to find a rebuilt slim jim. My is having a hard time shifting from first to second

It's probably shifting about normal. Shudder-clunk-lurch is a hallmark of the Slim Jim first shift. You might be able to finesse it out by trimming the TV rod adjustment.

Put it this way. There were nine SJ valve body revisions between 1961-1964 trying to get them to shift better. Shoulda just stuck with the four speed Jetaway HMT like Cadillac and long wheelbase Pontiacs did.

I’ve got several rebuilt slims if you can’t dial the shift in.
