Been looking for a long time now with no luck. I'm looking for a nice or NOS (new) set of headlight bezels for my 80' Supreme with the 4 headlight system and waterfall grills. Anyone have a set hanging around getting dusty? Any help tracking a set down is appreciated.
It might be easier to take a set and have them rechromed, Being that they are a 1 year only parts, it's gonna be difficult to find that needle.
Mine are cracked and not repairable as best I can figure. I stumbled into set of NOS grills last winter and have been amassing NOS emblems as well. Hoping my luck will hold and I can locate the bezels. The wheel is out of an 86' ( so are the seats and center console for that matter ).
theres a place in rhode island that has a lot of gbody parts i found it searching gbody on craigslist .not sure if you tried it ? ive been looking for a bunch of stuff for my 80 as well but everything seems to be a 4 hour drive .good luck with your search .if you ever come across some burgundy interior trim for an 80 let me know .
Since 1980 Cutlass is actually an A-Body, your search can be hampered when searching G-Body only... Although most Oldsmobile enthusiast know the late A-Body (78/81) vehicles have a lot in common with G-Bodies (82/88) many salvage style businesses do not and may not do a thorough search for your request... Be specific to the model year 1980 and you should not have a problem...
Local yard (Blacks Auto, dona Ana NM) has three 78-80 models. Fairly picked over but this loose header panel (brown) may still be lurking around. These pictures are 3 - 5 years old, so if all the bezels in pictures are still there is iffy. Did you try www.gbodyparts.com??? Yes I know that the earlier models are indeed A bodies. Wish I could find a few to pick over, they just aren't around my immediate area anymore. Going to have to widen my search and start scoring some yards further out. Thanks for the replies guys.
Think that white one with the quad bezels is stripped out. But - you might want to give the yard a call. I can handle shipping for them if in the unlikely event they have something. Blacks Auto dona Ana NM 575-382-9008. Ask for either Mark or Rick. Mark is a long term parts guy, he will know exactly what you are looking for. Most of the rest of the staff is general help, not specialists.
