8 track for 1970 cutlass

I'm just checking with you all before I start looking elsewhere....
I'd like to find a working 8 track and housing.
Ya, I'd like to buy one from W70442 but that's a bit more $ than I think I can part with for something like that right now.
Anybody have anything not quite so nice, for a better price??
(or any leads on where I can find one?)
thanks!

you just got to be patient and keep looking, the caveat is - one from Randy will not only look good it will also work

I found a beat up one on Ebay for about 100 bucks no housing or ***** , I had it restored by Turnswitch for around 80 bucks and they converted it to use an AUX jack (plugs into fact radio restored/upgraded by them).
The downside is a repro housing costs 100 the front trim cost 100 and the wood grain face costs 40 the ***** are 20 a piece and you need 4.
The total is about what you would buy a nice one from W70442.

I bought one a couple months ago on ebay for $275. The guy had just had the unit gone through (receipt showed he paid $250). Bad thing is the original housing got busted but insurance paid for a new one.

Just keep a look out, the deals are out there if your patient!

Plus, Randy stands by his work, and you know it's quality and turnkey. Peace of mind music box!

Great info everyone. I really appreciate it.
The plan will be to keep looking and be patient, while saving my pennies to buy one from Randy!
