72 Supreme Rocker Trim?

72 Supreme Rocker Trim?
Hi all,
I've been a lurker for a couple years and finally decided to join since I'm finally assembling my car again. I did not remove these from the car, but they were with it so the rocker panel is the only place I can picture it going based on it's shape.
I have been looking for a pair of what I believe used to be an aluminum molding covering the rocker panel between the carpet sill plate and the stainless trim on the bottom of the car. I have attached a picture of one of the pieces, sorry it's not a great picture, I took it with my phone to show a guy in the area that parts out Oldsmobile's only and he told me he didn't have one and had never seen this piece before. Any help locating either a reproduction or driver quality used piece would be appreciated.
Unfortunately I'm located in the rust belt in NH so this aluminum didn't hold up over the years and has holes on the other end.

It's nice to know we're not alone in the confusion. Now there are three people with puzzled looks from this piece. I have spent some time scouring the internet looking for something like this to no avail before posting here.

It's interesting no one has ever seen this before, but it seems too much like a pressed mass produced piece to be something someone just made. I wonder if it's off a different brand A body or something and just swapped on to my car as some additional protection/different look? I was just hoping it's not a situation of some non reproduced piece I couldn't find that my car is supposed to have.

Check both door areas and see if the holes placement match, and were there screws in all moulding locations . If someone just threw those on then the holes would echo that fact. The part pictured does ring a bell for me...but its not a 70-2 Olds A-body.

Well thanks guys, they must have just ended up mixed in with the parts for this car from someone else's project. Unfortunately I didn't take this apart, and this is my first A body, so I really didn't have a clue where they really came from.
I brought them out to the car again and the holes in the middle don't quite line up, but the end ones line up with the sill plate holes. Sounds like they're going in the scrap aluminum pile and I don't have to keep looking for what the heck they were. Based on their shape, covering a rocker is the only thing I could think of they'd fit, but apparently not.
Thanks again for the help, I just assumed they were part of the car since they were with all the other trim pieces.
