Where are you at?

Finding a motor isn't an issue, but you probably want to find one located near your home.

Another question that might help, are you looking for a runner or a complete rebuildable core?

You might have better luck if the title of your ad were something more descriptive, like WTB running Olds 455 or 350. Right now ithe title makes people think you are looking for a 1972 Cutlass. If all you want is an engine, your search space is a lot wider.

Sorry for your loss

I have a 71 350 with a 350 trans. I bought it with the frame as a rolling chassis. The story I was told was the car was running and got wrecked on the driver side. I saw the body and the door hinge area was bent. I have not seen it run. I have no use for it or the trans. Can send you pictures if you like. I have a fastenal near me. PM me if you want. It has intake, exhaust manifolds. Some brackets. Starter. Your best bet is to find a known running motor but if you can't I will sell the motor/ trans to you "as is" for 150.00 you pay shipping. I will put it on a skid and drop it off at Fastenal if they will accept it. We can verify that if you are interested.

It has a distributor in it and fan blades. I'll send you as much as I can since they probably stole everything. Tomorrow hopefully the rain will stop so I can put my other cutlass outside to get pictures. Tell me what else you lost. Pretty sure it had A carb on it too. Can I message pictures to your phone or email better?

Engine pictures

Did not find the alternator brackets but I will take them off my other 350 in the salvage car and include them. I have a power steering pump and bracket that was on it I will send too. If your still interested I will remove the trans if your sure you don't want it. You mentioned having a distributor but shipping with or without won't really change the ship cost since I think they accept a reasonable sounding guess on weight. Can include or remove the distributor, your choice.

# 5 heads

Don't know much about head #'s

Priced low because I don't know the history aside from what I was told. OP had car stolen so I was honest about my knowledge of the motor or lack of and included enough extras to help make up for any suprises he finds. Hope it helps him because it sucks getting your car stolen. I offered the trans too cause I thought he may sell it to cover some costs but he declined. After 40 years I would not be surprised if the heads have been switched.

Give me the address of the Fastenal near you and I will get a quote for shipping and let you know. It takes 24 hours to get a response after I fill out the shipping request so get me the address as soon as possible.
