72 442 Larger Overflow Hose Recovery Tank

I need the larger thin wall over flow hose for my 72 442 with the recovery tank. Everyone sells the the standard 3/8 but on the tank cap it like 1/2 inch, if anyone knows where I could get please let me know.

Thanks

Have you checked with aftermarket vendors who sell the repop overflows?

What is the OD of the radiator overflow connection?

Depending on the neck, it might be as small as 1/4 or 5/16. 3/8 would be pretty big for an automotive application. Whose radiator?

No way any of those would fit. I already checked my car. Like KZ said, you'd need at least a 1/2" ID to fit on that outlet. I can get a pic if you're curious.

This isn't a repop aftermarket coolant reservoir, it's the real deal OEM one that was installed by GM to solve overheating (and coolant puking) back in the day. It wasn't an 'option' or a factory installation - it was strictly dealer or owner installed. The dealer would install the unit for free if the customer asked for it.

Buy it from dealer cost was only around GM Group 1.219, part number 410008 and cost $3.02!!!

These OEM units are distinctly different than the aftermarket ones. The OEM ones have the part number onto them, as well as the coolant level indicator lines on both sides. The caps are slightly different too. Mounting is pretty much the same though. My OEM isn't as bright as the repops, but it's darn presentable.
