71cutlass convertible ABS plastic top rail

Hello All,
I am looking for a driver side rear door ABS plastic top rail for a 71 convertible. I believe 70 thru 72 would work? Any suggestions, I only need the top rail.
Thanks in advance.

I'm unsure of what part you are looking for. Your description makes it sound like it's for a 4 door car.

I believe the OP is referring to the rear interior "side panel" upper piece that is shown in the pic below. Nobody makes these so it's typical to need them when getting new rear interior side panels for a convert as Legendary, etc have to have them to install onto their new panels.

The one in the pic below is a bit broken up with some pieces missing where the inner sweeper was stapled on......probably not a good candidate for the guy looking here. I'm just posting the pic to show an example of what I bet he's looking for.

These are actually made of fiberglass and they break easily. I WISH they were ABS plastic since they would then be much easier to make solid repairs to.

I thought these were steel?? I had a '71 convertible in high school and these were stamped metal. Did GM switch to fiberglass at some point?

I bought fully assembled rear panels from PUI and they had these installed in them, so somebody is making them. Maybe call PUI and see if they will sell you just that part.

70Post is correct that is the part I am looking for. I have heard that they came in metal for some years and ABS others. I took the description from the OPGI catalog (they call it an ABS top rail) that show the entire assembly (I only need the top rail). I have not had any luck contacting PUI as the only phone numbers I can find are for their distributors, I will continue to look for that number. Any help locating their number would be helpful to me. Thanks for all your input.

Check this guy out on ebay. He sells blemished interiors and the rear panels pop up from time to time. I bought some pui rear panels from him for around $75.00.
