Found One! - Looking for a 4-Core top plate for my 71 Cutlass Supreme. I see I can pickup a reproduction but thought I would test the waters and see what else is out there.

 

How can I tell if it's a 4 core vs a 2? Core?

 

A 4 core radiator is thicker and uses larger rubber insulators at the top and bottom ends. 4 core plate has the wider (front to back) saddles that wrap around the rubber insulator pieces. 2 and 3 core tanks, plates and saddles are the same size. Only the 4 core is larger.

 

A 4 core has spot welded brackets on either side for the radiator. The three core is a single stamped piece.
