71-72 Ram Air Hood

I purchased a Ram Air Hood from The Parts Place. It is Fiberglass with a steel frame. I thought I was purchasing a all metal hood. Do anyone have a nice all metal hood for sale?

To my knowledge nobody makes an all metal w25 hood. The factory one was steel frame with fiberglass top. Some of the cheaper aftermarket hoods are all fiberglass.

How much are they selling this 1972 steel framed with fiberglass shell? I think it is the correct one.

all original OAI hoods came with a steel frame and fiberglass top.Reproductions were initially all fiberglass. Now there are a few versions out there that are steel frame with fiberglass tops. An original hood in very good condition goes for thousands of dollars. Thorton's sells a great looking and fitting hood. If your car isn't a real W30 or came with the hood in the first place I wouldn't worry about getting a real one. from 10 feet away they all the same IIHO

Thornton

Thornton is 3000.00. Steel frame and fiberglass top like the factory made in71-72. As said above from 10 feet they all look alike.
I wonder who makes the parts place hood. Did it say on the box it came in?

Except for the droopy eyebrows, back corners not matching the height of the sheet metal, and mid-fender droops and sags.

I bought a Thornton and it is perfect in those areas.

If you don't notice the poor fit areas, then, yes, they all look alike from a few steps back.
