Does anyone have or has anyone come across used hood grilles that aren't pitted or without the studs broken off? As most people want the ram air hoods, repos are not made of the 71 72 Cutlass "S" / 442 hood grilles. Apparently they wouldn't be able to sell enough to justify their tooling costs. Also, were they all painted body color with the exception of the top edges or were there any versions all chrome? I'm not needing them now, but may be interested if the right pair came along. Mine are terribly pitted but all the studs are intact. I imagine NOS are impossible to find. Thanks.

 

Both '71 and '72 Cutlasses with that hood had louvers painted body color between the top edges, whereas '71 442s and '72 442-optioned Cutlasses were black between the top edges.
