71/72 Cutlass "BLUE" floor mats

OK, I know I'm asking for the SUN here but if anyone has or knows about a pair of NOS or really, really nice blue front floor mats for a 71/72 Cutlass I'm listening. I also would consider any other color of mats as I've been told the originals can be dyed.

Don't give up hope. I got a beautiful rear set in blue on here a year ago. Still need fronts though. Also need '72 Dark saddle mats.

Blue Floor Mats

Hey Vista
These aren't REALLY nice but it a whole set. Only one rip.
Yes, they are dirty, but they might clean up well.
They can be yours for cheap.
How is $25 plus the ride?

You won't hurt my feelings if you say 'no'.

Gosh I wish they were the correct style for my year as they may clean up indeed. Thanks for the reply though Rudestr

If nobody's paid for the shipping yet, I will. ;-)

Thanks, Tom

Ok, I'm just saying what no one else has so far. IF you can dye the mats to the color you want, why don't you order one of the repro B32 B33 mat sets from Parts Place (cheapest I know of) and simply die them? I bought a full set for my car and they are spot on for looking authentic, plus they have the little cutout for the headlight dimmer switch.

Their part number is IN3288T

I heard originals can be dyed but the new repos cannot.

Wow. Parts Place sells them for $149. Fusick has the set of 4 for $175 and the fronts only for $130. I doubt they could be dyed to withstand foot traffic though. Their web-site says they are running low on stock. Maybe, once they are gone they'd be willing to make a production run in Blue since there seems to be high demand. They also carry the generic GM mats for $99 a set of 4, same as the ones Rudy has.

Why? They're both rubber. Something I'm missing here?

Whatever the reproductions are made of they do not take SEM dye like originals do. I bought a set from Fusick and tried to dye them only to have the dye flake off when I used them, it just would not bond. Maybe someone has had better luck than me but I have dyed original mats before and they still look good many years later.
