7040250 carb wanted

7040250 carburetor wanted with 0630 date code or close to. Must have perfect inlet threads and no heli coils. I do not want one that is rebuilt. I will do that myself

I may still have the exact one you are looking for. I sent these images to someone last year and he purchased one of these from me. I'll have to check as to which one he bought. Thanks, Bob.

Sounds good, Let me know. I am not in a hurry. I just rebuilt the original one today but it has a couple issues. I think I would rather replace it if I find one with good inlet threads.

Eric, the good news is my customer chose the other carb. The bad news is, this one needs a helicoil. I have more 250 carbs, but will have to check date codes. Thanks, Bob.

How much would you want for this one?

Do not be leery to use one that has a helicoil. They are better when they have one.

I am not worried about the helicoil itself but at one time it was cheaper to buy an 0250 than to fix them. I don't know what the 0250 sell for these days. I also prefer to have one that have never been taken apart. To many people screw them up. Like the Muncie 4 speeds, most of those these days are junk from to many people being in them not knowing what they were doing.
