hood latch cover?

What exactly are you looking for? I converted my 70 hood to RAM air and I think I still have the locking mechanism if that is what your looking for

The optional hood lock has a specific hood latch with a small squarish cover on the back of it. The cover is thin sheet metal & is only found with the locking latch. The locking latch also takes a special rod that connects it to the hood release T handle.

lock cover

the locking hood option has a cover that goes over the hood latch on the bottom side of the radiator support in the area were the hood release rod would go. do u still have the hood latch lock assemble. I managed to download a picture off of e-bay

oh I think you just edited original post saying you just missed one, but here is the link I was thinking of

If I could get my hands on one I'd make one for you Norm. I think I have one around here but it's likely BURIED inside a box of other beadblasted/waiting-to-replate parts and it goes with a locking setup for a car here. May be able to borrow one from a customer here as well for a "model" to follow.

In the meantime keep looking and I'll see what I can come up with here.

I should be able to put my hands on a cover in the next week or so. I'll watch your thread and contact you when that happens. I was going to say the same thing "you should make one yourself" as it's obvious you have the ability. Then I remembered.....you would need something to follow as a model/guide so that comment, on my part, wouldn't have made too much sense!

I'll grab some metal and give it a shot here.....already made a "pattern" from it and want to see what the result is. Hang in there and I'll get back with you. Thanks
