70-72 442/Cutlass S B85 Exterior Belt molding needed

Hello Everyone,
Seeking help to locate a nice set of B85 Belt Moldings for my vehicle. I know these were optional on '70-'72 442/Cutlass S vehicles. Ideally a complete set would be wonderful, but will piece it together one trim piece at a time if I have to. Any help or leads will be greatly appreciated.

I have a drivers door molding three small dents (easy fix if you do this kind of thing). Yours for the cost of shipping unless you want to drive to New Mexico to get it.

The doors are the same as Cutlass Supreme. The 1/4 pieces are obviously different.

Also on some Monte Carlo doors. Mine on my 70 442 post were bad and my Dad has several Monte parts cars, very nice set on one of his 72's.

Hello Everyone,
I'm not having much luck in locating anything, does anyone have or know the whereabouts of someone having these trim pieces for sale? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jim
I've got a bunch of molding but don't know what the B85 looks like. Would you have a picture you could post?

John

costpenn just posted a thread referencing an ebay auction for these. Here's the auction link in case you missed his post:

Just a heads up on the B85 trim. It is anodized aluminum, NOT stainless steel. So when you have all the dents removed, you need to send it out for re-anodizing.

I was blessed to secure a complete set with no dents on any of the four pieces, just very light surface scratches on the two front doors and the rears are exceptional, no scratches....

Thank you for the heads up, I'll send them out to be polished then re-anodized....

Jim did you get them from the Ebay auction? I was thinking of you when I posted the link here on CO, but I could not remember your screen name. Good luck with those pieces! I was bidding on and won some other things he was selling.

I take it the backs are hard to find for the S or 442? Anyone have another set of backs or a complete set. My Rallye 350 had them and I took them off when I rebuilt the car. I thought I still had them at my parents house but i can not find them. I wanted to include them when i sell the car or even put them back on. With it on the cowl tag i hate to not have them with it.

Yeah, that's the size of it Eric. The curved ones for the 3687 are pretty hard to find, especially in good condition. One more thing about the rear pieces. The ones for the 3277 (post) cars are not the same belt molding because of the posts. There is a slight indent on the molding to fit the post areas.

If you want to send them. I only need the backs, I have front ones. I will just include them with the car and not likely install them. I plan to send the car to eBay as soon as my elbow gets better. It is the size of a softball right now. Would you happen to have a 70 black S bucket seat in driver condition?
