'70 - 2 OAI Flapper Top

Looking for a "junk" '70-2 Olds OAI Flapper Top...will be used to cut pieces from to repair other repairable OAI Flappers.

>DO NOT need the flapper door...just the main plastic piece and even if the middle has been cut out that would be better. Back in the day some people cut the middle sections out thus eliminating the flapper door. They were going for the "full flow" effect with no flapper door or other parts to restrict air flow to the filter.

>The only part that needs to be decent/intact is the outer channel that the OAI foam seal sits in.....this is the area I need to repair on some OAI flapper tops

>Also willing to buy just some pieces cut off from a junk OAI top...easier on boxing and shipping and I'd outline what sections I needed after seeing pics.

Pic below of a flapper top in need of repair to the foam seal channel (diregard the tape).

Help save this sad looking original part!!

Hi Patton
When I bought my 1970 back in 1985ish this was the air cleaner top that I got with it. The previous owner put a torquer intake on it and I figured this is the only way he could make it fit under the hood. I'll send you a PM. John

John - I PM'd you back.....that candidate has been trimmed down to the bare minimum and is exactly what I had in mind since the important part is intact (the foam seal "shelf"). Still almost too good to chop pieces out of but I suspect any candidates that were broken in half, for example, ended up in the trash can along time ago. I'd like to buy that one.

Thanks for the help John and Greg. This will help put, 3 OAI tops back in real nice condition.
