Thomas, if it matters for your intended application, there is a difference in the dimensions of the scoops from 1968 to 1969. The intake opening of the scoops are different. They are both the same width, however the /68 version is not as tall in the opening as the '69 version.

 

NOT TRUE - the only thing the same is the area of the opening ~30 sq. in. (2-1/2 times the area of the 4" hoses, must've been the magic number for increased airflow velocity/pressure ??)

they are roughly 13.5 x 2.25" in 1968 & 11.0 x 2.75" for 1969

I don't know about this part, so am asking: Are there differences in the mounting bracket locations? Or the piercings in the inner fender wells?
