'69 Delta 88 Convertible Trunk Lid

Hey there,

greetings from Germany!

I haven't been here for a very long time. I'm going to continue the restauration of my 69 delta 88 convertible I stopped 10 years ago. She's been sleeping for a long time now and I want to finish it until next summer.

I'm urgently looking for a trunk lid and if possible a rear bumper.
Why? Some guy fell asleep while driving, crashed into my storage and hit the car, so now the rear section looks very bad.

Does anyone have an idea where to get the stuff? Does any other GM model fit? It should be in o.k. condition...

kind regards from Wolfsburg/Germany, home of the Volkswagen

As a quick tour with google images would show you, a replacement bumper for your car will have to come from another '69 Delta 88. No other year fits. No other make fits. Not even a rear bumper from a '69 98 would fit as the design is different.

No one reproduces body and trim parts for the full-size Oldsmobiles, so a replacement bumper will have to come from another '69 Delta 88.

1969 rear end:

1969 98: rear bumper is completely different

1968 Delta 88:

1970 Delta 88. This actually looks pretty close to '69, but the back-up lights are in different locations.

The rear trunk lid works from any 69 or 70 Olds 88 sedan, hardtop or convertible 2door or 4door.

The 69-70 Olds 88 rear bumper while somewhat different in style is a functional interchange.

Thank you guys.

That's what my own research taught me, too. I think my bumper is reparable, but the lid looks bad.

Does anyone have a lid that comes from a model henry listed?

thanks so far!

btw: funny fact, the black olds on the first image is in Germany, i know the former owner and it has a replacement tank that came from my sparepart collection Is the new owner in this community?
