69 442 400 "C" head

Machine shop found a crack. I need one rebuildable head for a 69 442 400. I'm sure if you have one you what I need. This is the head with the 'C' stamp.

Ross, I have some C heads. Yours should be large valve heads but if I'm unable to located a single large valve head you can have a small valve head cut out for the larger valves. From the factory the castings were the same, the intakes were cut for the application it was going on. Are you going to do anything with the other head, such as a valve job or just do what is needed to replace the one head? John

I am doing a complete engine rebuild. I was going to do a valve job plus hardened exh seats on the heads. I just need the one head. Let me know what heads you have an if you would be willing to sell just one. I'll talk to the machine guy tomorrow about cutting for the larger valves in case thats all you have.

Thanks
Ross

I have a pair of "C" heads here in Austin Texas. I will dig them up this weekend from the Barn and do some measuring. I am not a 69 expert, can you provide spec on the valve sizes you are looking for? Thanks

Yea, I know I might have to buy a pair. Let me know if you find them and how much? (PM) At least I would save on shipping costs.

Thanks
