68 Cutlass Manual Trans Car Wiring Harness Extensions
Looking for the wiring harness extensions that connect the dash wiring to the following on a 4 speed manual trans car:
-Neutral safety switch (two purple wires, plug on both ends, maybe 2' long?).
-Reverse light switch (two green wires, connectors on both ends).

I think the reverse light switch is available from a number of vendors. Ames Performance definitely had it. I think Joe P recently said that the switch was used by all the GM A-bodies in 68.

To clarify, no manual trans cars used a "neutral" safety switch, they used a CLUTCH safety switch that only made contact if the clutch pedal was pressed - it didn't matter if the trans was in neutral or not. As Mike correctly pointed out, however, the CSS wasn't used on the 1968-older cars anyway. It was assumed that if you knew how to drive a manual trans, you had enough sense to press the clutch before engaging the starter.
I believe the OP is asking about the pigtail that runs from the backup light connector in the dash harness to the backup light switch on the trans, not the actual switch itself.

My '68 Cutlass, factory three speed manual, floor shift, had a "clutch start switch" that would only allow the car to start with the clutch pedal depressed. I believe that if you saw one with a jumper, it was probably done by an owner.

Joe is right, I am looking for the harness extension for the reverse light switch, not the switch itself.
Thanks for the heads up on the clutch switch jumper - I had seen that before in the assembly manual but forgot. My car has a (not correct for '68) clutch safety switch that I'll have to shorten the auto harness extension for.

I looked at Ames and Fusick and neither seem to carry it. I tried to see exactly what mine looked like but I have it coiled up and tie wrapped with the rest of the loose taillight harness under my dash and I’ll make a mess if I cut it loose
