68 Convertible Fender to quarter trim needed
68 Convertible Fender to quarter trim needed
I have a customer that sent his 68 Cutlass S convertible to a body shop & when he got it out ALL of the chrome trim down the fenders, doors & quarter panels were all GONE. Does anyone out there have a replacement set or to where a set can be put together.??
Check with ros6872 he may have it or put it together , I give him 5 stars very reliable and honest there are a few others as well, hopefully they will jump in too, those moldings are unobtanium as you must know the 68 I believe has a cast piece at the rear side iirc, the 69s do not they will look basically the same but for concours there is a difference good luck with search
The fender part comes in two pieces for '68. The front short piece is nicely reproduced if you are unable to find them. As well, I believe the '69 fender trim (one piece) will fit and look good but if you are looking for originality it won't meet that standard. The fasteners that hold these pieces to the fender are hard to find but also reproduced but they are somewhat expensive.
The door piece for '68 and '69 is the same. For fender and door, pieces should be available as they are the same for the holiday coupe and sports coupe as they are for the convertible.
The quarter pieces will be tough to find and expect to pay a boatload of money for them. They are unique to only the '68 and '69 Olds A-body convertible and they are not reproduced to my knowledge.
