68-70 water pumps

Looking for the following casting water pumps, found on 68-70 engines.

384783
398681

Would like ones with the big cast impeller on them. Ones from running engines or good cores are fine as I plan on getting them rebuilt.

Thanks,
Chris

I have an oddball with a casting number that hasn't been deciphered. It came on a 70 that I bought back in 1995.It is the shorter snout, and from what I remember, the solid iron impeller. It has a 227 Julian date, which actually jived with the build date of the car.It also has USA cast in it,so I am thinking it is a real early replacement. If you are interested,I'll e-mail you some pictures.

Junior,
This pump has casting number 134201.
However,it does NOT have the cast impeller like I thought.

Search for my old ad in parts for sale. I think I have what you need.

Do you by chance have any 408329 water pump/s to trade. This pump is easily identified by a 2 at the top.

I'll try and search, but I'm lazy

If you know the app, I can tell whether I have the 408329 or not.

my guess is you mean this thread https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...ter-pumps.html

one of those pumps has been rebuilt (different impeller on the back), the other hasn't (big cast impeller on the back). the rebuilt one I have no use for.

as for the 408329, from another thread (lovely search crap ) that looks to be a 71/72 app for HD cooling iirc. regardless, 99% sure I don't have one. if I do, I don't know it.

related question

How can one tell if a (any) water pump should be saved ? any physical characteristics ? like a cast impeller VS stamped one ? I have two WPs removed from cars but if theyre just service replacements ill chuck, it they might have some value to someone I wont

He goes by Octania. He has responded to this post. He has a spreadsheet with water pump, and pulley information he has gathered. He sent it to me, all I had to do was ask.

I mentioned it because there is an NOS one on eBay. It also has a large "O" where the other pumps have their large number. It has the cast impeller.
