67 Vista Cruiser Tailgate Motor needed

I think mine is about ready to lay down so I'm on the hunt for another one. Anybody have one to part with?

For what it's worth, I had a two wire (I think) connector in the Silver Bullet
('68 FlatTop) and couldn't find a correct replacement. Ended up contacting A1 Cardone and sending it to them to be rebuilt. Works GREAT, but rather pricey.................

I contacted Cardone and they said there's about an 80% chance they can rebuild it but it must be sent through one of their dealers. Nothing about how much so, is probably about right. ha ha Thanks for the tip

A google search turned up this post stating that a 80's Suburban rear window motor is a bolt-in replacement. He has the info on the 3 vs 2-prong connector also.

Found the part for $62.77 at GMPartsDirect.com

I can't remember what side but either the left or right window motor is the same thing. I have a motor from the back of a 70 vista but i would have to test it.

My understanding is the rear window motors have more torque than door glass motors. I don't know for sure but that does make sense.

Thanks for this info. I'll have to dig into this a bit and see what I can find.

I guess I should pull my old motor out and see if I can find any useful info about it. I'll keep you in mind if it looks like yours might work. Thanks.
