67 Cutlass Trim Clip Help!

I have a 67 convertible with thin spears on the door, front fender and rear 1/4 panel.I am desperately trying to find the oval style push in clips for the door molding. I have found the ones for the larger trim but not the smaller trim.

I have searched the usual places and various fastener houses, to no avail. Any help or other ideas on how to reattach these?

Thank you!

Michael

I think I have some but let me check. How many do you need? I bought mine from Restoration Specialties at the Charlotte Auto Fair.

Trim Clips for Side Moldings

I had the same problem on my 64 Cutlass for all the side trim. I must have ordered 3 or 4 different ones, but never found the right size that slide into the moldings and match the door ovals. I think these are called "Bath Tub" clips in the industry. Here are the specs from an original clip that came off my car. If any one has these or knows a vendor, please let us know. In the interim, I used the Christmas Tree style clips and cut the top to slide into my moldings. They work for now, but would love to find some orignals.

I looked at what I had left over but they were smaller ones that I used on the Vista Cruiser. You can call Classic Olds in Clemmons NC 336-766-7845.His name is Jim,tell him I sent you If he dose'nt have them I'll check at the Auto Fair in April . Tony

I would try Restoration Supply, Auveco, and AMK.

Someone has to have them.

You've probably tried them, but I've gotten some pretty rare stuff from 'Clips & Fasteners'.

Have you thought of using some type of universal clip???

These are from the Auveco catalog...
