I know they are part of the hood. I have seen them for sale before on ebay as they are removed from damaged or rusted out hoods

Tweed Vorhees had such a hood for sale. The hood was junk but the louvers were good. He's a member here but if you don't know him or can't find him,let me know and I'll see about finding him for you. He's the guy with the white 67 race car with Chesrown Olds on it.

Just a side note, the 67 F85 hood is almost the same hood. It does not have the wind split or louvers but has holes for a rocket emblem in the front lip.
