I am looking for new trim piece that goes along the bottom of the trunk lip. Mine has a slight crack , it's a beautiful piece otherwise. here's a thought does anyone know of a shop who refurbishes trim pieces...or maybe just instructions to repair it???

 

My posting seems a bit vague.... to be more specific it's about 2"x3' and heavypot metal, i am going to stop drill the crack for starters and maybe see about brazing it from the backside

 

It is pot metal and you should practice on an expendable Cutlass trim piece first. The 442 piece is specific to the 66 442, rare and valuable. It is not being reproduced. I sent one to Fusick but they decided it would cost too much to make them vs. market for them.

 

Use some JB Weld on the back of it and unless its a real mess you can make a damaged one look real good that way. Don't have to worry about the heat ruining it.
