65 Cutlass power steering pump with reservoir

Mines leaking bad on my 65 cutlass and want a good one to install and use till I find time to rebuild my old one. Non A/C car. Motor is 65 400, but believe pumps/reservoir are the same for 330 and 400? Thanks

That would be great if it's clean on inside ( no rust) and holds fluid! Thanks and appreciate it.

You know, it only takes a couple of hours to rebuild one of these pumps!

Thanks, I've never rebuilt one before...so figured it would be a challenge. Being risk adverse, if I had a good one to swap out and I messed up the rebuild it wouldn't set me back too far. Does anyone know the correct PN for the rebuild kit? Thanks

Are you sure it is the pump leaking and not one of the hoses? The return hose have been known to leak because of age and with no pressure it is not easy to locate a leak from the hose. A high pressure leak will spew fluid when turning the steering wheel.

Hoses are good, leaking out the front somewhere and running down the large mounting plate and onto the ground. I placed a sheet of paper underneath the pump. It's leaking bad statically...not pressurized and the same when running. Level drops 2" a day. A good paper plate size puddle after a couple days.

Then probably the front lip seal. Check the bushing for wear too.
