I'm not sure if it will fit, but I do have a 1971 GTO frame with boxed lower control arms and sway bar. I'm in NY.

Brandon, do a little research on these early A-body frames. 68 and up are 1.5 inches wider (double check that). Also the frame horns that the bumpers mount to may be different from 64-65. 64-65 frames are all over the place at least down here in the South and I bet members have some too. If it were me I would look for a 64-65 Olds A-body convertible frame or a 64-65 El Camino frame. Both of these are boxed-more rigid, great if your building a nice torquey Olds motor... Note: I believe the transmission mounting cross member is welded to the frame on these....On my 64 build I boxed and welded in mine where I could...

'68-'72 are shorter overall, wider in the engine area for sure and use shorter REAR UPPER control arms. I'm fairly certain that even the '64-'65 F-85/Cutlass frames are not exactly the same as the 442 frames, but will fit. Check out Bro's site: https://w29.boards.net/ for detailed information on this subject.

I agree with Rocketman269V. Something I learned a while back was that the manual transmission Cutlass or F85 had the same frame as the 442 in either auto or manual transmission from 1964-65. I'm not as well versed in the 66-67 but know the 1967 4spd 442 project car I have has the same upgrades as the 64-65. I'm on the West Coast so I can't help you, but I have a frame I pulled out from under a 1965 F85 that started its life with a three on the tree manual setup. It has the extra gussets, the one piece side rails and the additional holes drilled for the upper control arms. I do think the w29 board does a good job of showing this, but if it would help I can get photos to share and/or provide any views that aren't clear. John

67 became the year the upper rear spring perch changed. So that will not work. 64-66 had the same upper rear spring perch and I found that the manual transmission versus auto is different but not enough to stop from using it.
I have two 65 frames in Oregon one manual trans and one auto trans. I would give you a very good deal on either one.

Brandon, if you keep striking out you might get a shipping quote. I shipped a 1964 Convertible frame to the East Coast a few years ago. The buyer arranged the shipping, I don't remember the amount but at the time I was surprised how cheap he got it. You could get a quote online with Fastenal or U-ship with no costs. Just a thought...

John, as of about two weeks ago, Fastenal has suspended their shipping service, due to the virus.

I didn't know that. This is the first example of shipping stopping I've heard.

I had a customer that bought two cranks from me. He didn't like the quote that he got from them, so I cut a pallet down and sent in a request. After not hearing back for several days, I called and was told that they have stopped shipping due to the virus. The worst part is he has a Fedex account but they want the cranks individually boxed. What a pita!

I had contacted Fastenal to ship a 64 Cutlass Convertible frame and they stated to big to ship. Still looking for other options to have one shipped at a reasonable cost. Any suggestions would be great. From Indiana to Florida

My biggest dilemma with shipping one is the fact that I’ve looked at six of them that people said we’re good and none of them were. Not that I don’t trust you guys but this is not an easy task putting a frame under a car and I hate to keep buying them when they’re no good I’d really like to see it in person before I buy it.Thanks for all the help Brandon

64 through 66 frame horns do come straight out if your’s kick out wider it sounds like a 67 cutlass or 442 frame.

In 1967 Oldsmobile widened the frame in the front for a bigger radiator. Also the rear springs bolt differently in 67

Brandon, I believe that they went to the wider radiator in '66; first year for the cross flow. I could be wrong but I don't think so.
