You might want to list your city and state.

Well....that covers San Jose to Hornbrook (had to look that one up) and anything in between....hence the city is needed.

Thanks, but a 3:23 wouldn’t do me much good. I’m probably going to have to get a gear set and change over.
i have never done a gear change so I was hoping to find a complete rear end I could just swap out.
Thanks all

I have a very nice used OEM 3.55 gear set and posi unit I will sell. This is for the 8.2 B/P axle and will fit your housing. Contact me @ pchopesq@aol.com

If you can't set the gear set up correctly, finding a complete rear axle is your best choice. The problem is,the 64/65 rear axles are narrower than the 66/67 units. It's not a huge difference but still a difference. You might find a good reputable mechanic in your area who can do the gear change. Good Luck.

Yes, a complete rear end would be a lot easier and something I’m comfortable doing as I have done so a few times in my day. I know the axles are slightly longer on 66-67, years ago I replaced my blown posi rear on a 65 I had then, with one from a 66 out of a junkyard

I used Gear Works in San Lorenzo to swap my peg leg highway gears 8.2 with a 3.55 posi. It was about 10 years ago but his prices were reasonable and he did great work. Might be an option if you can’t find a complete rear end.
